MEND

As the holidays approach fast, some families aren't as worried about the Thanksgiving turkey and fixings as much as they are putting food on the table on any given day.

The Department of Agriculture says 49 million people had trouble getting enough to eat last year and food banks are straining to feed their swelling clientele.

One of those food banks include MEND, which stand for Meet Each Need with Dignity.

MEND is accepting volunteers and donations and also has a Christmas Elf program, which allows patrons to adopt a family.
