Flash Flood Watch Remains In Effect

 WEATHER: Complete Coverage

LOS ANGELES (AP) ―

The threat of flooding has eased somewhat in Orange County where some canyon residents evacuated earlier are beginning to return home on Saturday.

Mandatory evacuation orders have been lifted for Modjeska and Williams canyons. Both remain under voluntary evacuation orders and Modjeska Canyon is open to residents only. A voluntary evacuation also is suggested for Silverado Canyon.

But residents are being warned to drive carefully because of fog and muddy road conditions.

A flash flood watch remains in effect until 4 p.m. Saturday for the area.

Meanwhile, a flash flood warning is in effect for north-central San Diego County, where more than 2 inches of rain fell in areas devastated by the October wildfires.
