Flash Flood Warning In Deserts, Fire-Scarred Hills

LOS ANGELES (AP) ― The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning Saturday night for mountains, deserts and fire-scarred areas of California.

Warnings are in effect past midnight for the Antelope Valley, San Gabriel Valley, south-central Inyo County and northwestern San Bernardino County.

The weather service says heavy rain has been reported in some areas from fast-moving thunderstorms.

The storms also could bring lightning and wind gusts of 40 miles per hour in the San Gabriel Valley.
