Beverly Hills Hotel, Montage Become 5-Star Resorts

The Beverly Hills Hotel and Bungalows, the Montage Laguna Beach and the Four Seasons Westlake Village received Five Diamond Awards from AAA.

The Auto Club has—for the first time—bestowed Five Diamond Awards on the Beverly Hills Hotel and Bungalows, the Montage Laguna Beach and the Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village, it was announced Friday.
The most tenured California hotel on the list is the Ritz-Carlton in Laguna Niguel, which got its 23rd Five Diamond Award, according to Jeffrey Spring of the Auto Club of Southern California.
Just two Southern California restaurants made the list: The Belvedere at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills and Addison in San Diego.
"The AAA Five Diamond Award goes only to very select hotels and restaurants that meet the highest standards of consistent quality and excellence," Patricia Marenco of the Auto Club said.
All together, Southern California had 16 hotels and two restaurants to receive Five Diamond awards.
