Californians Increasingly Worried About Finances

Survey Asked People 'Are You Worse Off Than 1 Year Ago?'

LOS ANGELES (CBS) ― A new poll out says that California residents are increasingly worried about the economy and their personal finances.

The new poll, conducted by Field Research, says that 63% of all Californians say they are "worse" off now than they were a year ago.

Field Research has been conducting this poll for nearly 50 years (47 to be exact) and in that time at no time have more than 50% of respondents answered affirmatively to the question of being worse off.

The poll's margin of error is plus or minus five percentage points.
