Suspect Remains At Large

LOS ANGELES Police Saturday hunted for the driver who fatally struck a man and a woman and injured a third man Friday evening.

Miguel Rocha, 25, hometown unknown, died at the scene and Lisa Santee, 25, of Fontana, was declared dead at County-USC Medical Center, said Lt. Larry Dietz of the coroner's office.

The motorist while reversing pinned the victims against a metal fence at about 6:55 p.m. in the 3200 block of East Washington Boulevard and then fled, a witness told police.

A third person, a man was hospitalized in critical condition, a fire department spokesperson said, but his name was not immediate released.

The driver abandoned the car nearby and remains at large.
