Ex-Inglewood Cop Pleads To Pointing Gun At Driver

LOS ANGELES (AP) ― A former Inglewood police officer has pleaded no contest to pointing a gun at another motorist during an off-duty road rage confrontation.

Michael Robinson, 44, entered pleas Wednesday in Los Angeles to a felony charge of brandishing a firearm and a misdemeanor count of assault with a deadly weapon.

He's expected to be sentenced to probation after completing an anger management program and 250 hours of community service.

Prosecutors say Robinson was driving with his two young children when he flashed the gun at a driver on Interstate 405 last year. Prosecutors described the incident as "road rage."

Robinson has since left the department.
