2 Employees Wounded In Sherman Oaks Store Shooting

SHERMAN OAKS, Calif. Police were searching Saturday for three suspects accused of shooting two store employees in Sherman Oaks, authorities said.

The shooting occurred on Friday night in a smoke shop on Ventura Boulevard, just west of Van Nuys Boulevard, Los Angeles police Lt. George Khoury of the Van Nuys Station said.

Three suspects, one of them armed, accessed the store from a back door, Khoury said.

One man was shot in the abdomen and another was shot in the chest and jaw, according to police.

The suspects then fled the scene in a silver car. Both victims were transferred to a hospital and are showing stable vital signs, Khoury said.
