Crash Leaves Ellen De Generes With Back, Neck Pain
LOS ANGELES (CBS) ―
Talk show host Ellen De Generes received minor injuries in a three-car collision near the border of West Hollywood and Los Angeles Friday, police said.
De Generes complained of back and neck pain after the crash that happened just before 4 p.m. at Sunset Boulevard and Crescent Height boulevards, Los Angeles police Officer Jason Lee said.
De Generes was driving eastbound in the center lane and had stopped her 2006 Porsche Carrera at Laurel Avenue. A 2002 Buick Le Sabre with two men in their 20s also stopped, but Jeanne Werber, 52, slammed into the back of the Buick, Lee said.
The air bag deployed in the Buick, which hit De Generes' car.
Werber, who suffered minor cuts on her leg, was arrested on suspicion of driving drunk. Werber's car had minor damage to the front.
The Buick to the front and the rear and the two men inside suffered scratches.
De Generes' passenger, a woman in her mid-30s, complained of pain to her back. The talk show host's car had moderate damage to the rear.
No one was taken to a hospital and each person involved in the crash will seek their own medical attention.
