Elijah Larkin, 18, is being held on $1 million bail in connection with the death of 15-year-old Alcus Mallory.

A 15-year-old boy who was shot in the head nearly a week ago has died, and his alleged killer was being held on $1 million bail, police said.
Alcus Mallory died Tuesday from a gunshot wound suffered he suffered July 17 in the 1600 block of West 65th Place, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
Elijah Larkin, 18, was arrested the day after the shooting and booked on suspicion of involuntary manslaughter, LAPD Officer Julianne Sohn of the Media Relations office said.
Mallory playing video games in a bedroom with friends, according to police.
"The suspect ... pulled out a handgun and began to play with it," police said in a statement. "He fired one shot and struck Mallory in the head."
