A worker suffered an electrical shock after touching a high-voltage line.

A worker suffered an electrical shock today when he touched a high-voltage line at a construction site in the Mar Vista area of Los Angeles, authorities said.
Paramedics sent to the 5000 block of South Slauson Avenue about 10:35
a.m. took the 27-year-old man to a hospital, said d'Lisa Davies of the Los
Angeles Fire Department.
He was "conscious and alert," she added.
The man, whose name was not released, was working on a scaffold when he was injured, Davies said.
The circumstances of the accident were under investigation.
