Elderly Woman Suffers Injuries From House Fire
TORRANCE
An elderly woman suffered serious injuries during a house fire inside a Torrance home today, a fire captain said.
According to Torrance fire Capt. Steve Deuel, two firefighters suffered minor injuries while battling the fire at 2814 Dalemead Ave. Fire personnel dispatched to the scene at 8:27 a.m. reported the fire was put out in 10 minutes, Deuel said.
At the time the fire broke out, there were four people inside the single-story structure, he said. Three were able to escape, and firefighters entered through a window to rescue the fourth person, an elderly woman.
A cause of the fire and damage estimates were under investigation.
