'Three's Company' Star Busted For Alleged DUI

Joyce DeWitt, shown with her "Three's Company" co-stars was busted for an alleged DUI July 4, 2009 at about 5 p.m. She posted $5,000 bail and got her independence about nine hours later.

Actress Joyce DeWitt, who starred in the TV show "Three's Company" as the smart brunette, was arrested in El Segundo on July 4th on suspicion of drunken driving, police said.
El Segundo police Sgt. Danny Kim confirmed a TMZ.com report that DeWitt was taken into custody about 4:20 p.m. Saturday.
She was arrested near Pine Avenue and Sierra Street after failing a field sobriety test, according to the the popular website.
Kim witnessed DeWitt driving past a barricade. "As the officer spoke with DeWitt, he reportedly smelled booze on her breath. After participating in a series of field sobriety tests, DeWitt was arrested and transported to the El Segundo Police Department for booking."
DeWitt, 60, was booked for misdemeanor DUI, and was released about 1:30 a.m. Sunday on $5,000 bail, according to the sheriff's department.
She portrayed sensible Janet Wood on the show, which ran from 1977-1984.
