Driver Killed After Slamming Into Telephone Pole

LAKE FOREST A male motorist was killed early Saturday morning when his car slammed into a telephone pole in Lake Forest, according to officials.

Authorities were notified of the traffic accident, in the area of Los Alisos Blvd. and Daleview Drive, about 1:30 a.m., said Supervising Deputy Coroner Larry Esslinger.

The driver reportedly died at the scene.

The victim's name will be released after officials can notify his next of kin, Esslinger said.
