Man Killed In Van Nuys Drive-By Shooting

VAN NUYS Gun violence doesn't stop for brush or wild fires.

Police say a man was killed in a drive-by shooting in Van Nuys Saturday evening, police said.

The unidentified man was shot in the head by someone in a passing car at about 11:05 p.m.

The incident occured in the 7300 block of Hazeltine Avenue, according to Officer Sam Park of the Los Angeles Police Department.

The victim, whose name was withheld pending notification of his next of kin, died at an area hospital.

Police could not provide additional information about the circumstances
of the incident.

No arrests were reported.
