Doctor Charged With Sexually Assaulting Patient

LOS ANGELES (AP) ― Los Angeles County prosecutors have charged a doctor with sexually assaulting a patient.

District attorney's spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons says 37-year-old Kevin Antario Brown was charged Tuesday with seven counts – three felonies and four misdemeanors. Charges include sexual battery by fraud and sexual exploitation by a physician.

Police say the investigation began in June 2007 when an 18-year-old woman reported that she'd been touched inappropriately by Brown during a medical examination.

Police say Brown was arrested following a year-long undercover investigation.

Brown had been practicing medicine at the Crenshaw Expo Medical Center in Los Angeles.
