Police Thursday announced the arrest of a 20-year-old La Mirada man wanted for allegedly committing a brazen robbery in which he was holding a 3-year-old boy while he committed the crime.
Officials say Jeremy Gallegos was arrested around 9:30 Thursday morning.
Detective John Moore of the Norwalk sheriff's station says Gallegos was taken into custody from the 13900 block of Imperial Highway.
Gallegos allegedly approached the victim outside a store in the 11000 block of Rosecrans Avenue on Oct. 28. Police say while holding a boy, now identified as a 3-year-old, Gallegos demanded the victim's wallet and alcohol he had just purchased.
Gallegos was booked at the Norwalk sheriff's station on suspicion of robbery and child endangerment.
He is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
