Passengers aboard a Los Angeles-bound airliner today subdued a man who got out of his seat and allegedly yelled "I've got a bomb" as the plane was landing, authorities said.
The suspect, whose name was unavailable, was arrested when Delta Flight 110 landed at Los Angeles International Airport about 10:25 a.m., according to Albert Rodriguez of Los Angeles World Airports.
"The passenger is reported to have made a threat aboard the plane, and was subdued by passengers," Rodriguez said.
Bruce Worrilow told reporters that he and his wife were aboard the airplane when the man "jumped up and started running ... (and) yelled `I've got a bomb.' "
Worrilow said he and some fellow passengers, along with flight attendants, detained the man until he could be turned over to authorities.
The aircraft taxied to Terminal 5, and its 230 passengers got off the plane, Rodriguez said. FBI agents and Los Angeles Airport Police are handling the investigation.
