4 Arrested After Shopping Mall Skirmish
TORRANCE, Calif. (CBS) ―
Four teens were booked on suspicion of assault following a skirmish with a security guard at a Torrance mall.
Police say the scuffle happened shortly after 9 p.m. Friday as police tried to arrest a teenager at
Del Amo Fashion Center, and his friends came to his assistance.
Torrance police Lieutenant Patrick Shortall says: "It was a fight. They resisted with their hands. Blows were thrown."
The guard had minor injuries, including cuts and scrapes, and received several stitches.
The four teens, aged 16 to 18, were arrested on assault charges. One remained in custody Saturday, while the other three were released.
