Cops: Dead Motorist Was Shot Before He Crashed
LOS ANGELES
A motorist found in a crashed car at Venice and Magnolia Ave just west of downtown was apparently shot before he died, according to police.
The accident occured just after 2:30 Saturday morning, according to officials.
When police investigated the crash, they also discovered the victim had a bullet wound.
The victim, whose name was unavailable, appeared to have been shot before he crashed his car, said Herman Kskowitz of the Central Traffic Division.
Homicide detectives from the Rampart Station were handling the investigation.
Area residents said they heard gunfire prior to the crash, according to a camera crew reporting from the scene.
