Coroner I.D.'s Young Victim In Fiery 91 Crash
RIVERSIDE
For the second time in two days, a young person has been killed driving on the Riverside (91) Freeway, according to authorities.
The young woman who was killed Friday in a fiery crash the 91 Freeway in Riverside has been identified by the coroner as Sayra Castellanos-Guzman, 19, of Riverside.
She suffered fatal injuries at 2:29 a.m. Friday when her vehicle left the eastbound freeway just east of Central Avenue, struck trees and burst into flames, coroner's officials said.
On Thursday, Christopher David Laurie died at the scene of a 9 a.m. crash on the eastbound Riverside Freeway just west of Serfas Club Drive in Corona, according to the Riverside County Coroner's Office.
He was killed when his Dodge station wagon slammed into the back of a Caltrans truck parked in the carpool lane, leaving traffic jammed for hours,
according to the California Highway Patrol.
Laurie, the 33-year-old son of Harvest Christian Fellowship leader Greg Laurie, served as the art director at the church for the last three years.
Laurie was on his way to work at the time of the accident.
He was recalled Friday as a humble man with a great sense of humor. He leaves behind a pregnant wife and young daughter.
In Coachella, the coroner has identified a man who was killed in a two-vehicle crash more than a week ago through dental records.
Rafeal Regalado, 27, was killed July 18 when his pickup truck was struck by a car on Tyler Street, about a mile north of 66th Ave. after 9:30 that evening.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
