California Attorney General Jerry Brown has declined to file charges against De Anza College baseball players accused of raping a 17-year-old girl last year.
The Santa Clara County District Attorney made the same decision last year, prompting a public outcry and Brown's involvement.
Brown announced his decision Friday at a news conference in San
Francisco.
Authorities began investigating athletes and other students at the community college in Cupertino after the teenager claimed she was gang-raped at a birthday party for one of the players.
Eight ball players were suspended from the team after the alleged rape was reported.
