Utility crews were trying to restore electricity to 800 houses in the West Los Angeles area that were still without power Sunday.
Saturday's storm knocked out power to nearly 9,000 customers, a DWP spokesperson said.
"Everyone affected at the peak of the storm has been restored except for about 800 in the West Los Angeles area," Pierson said.
As of 7:30 p.m., crews were still working to repair an underground cable issue, which Pierson said can take longer at times.
All of the power outages were weather-related, utility officials said earlier.
