Man Dies Of Heart Attack After Crashing Into Hotel

LOS ANGELES (CBS) ― A man suffered a fatal heart attack Sunday morning after crashing a sport utility vehicle into a hotel in unincorporated South Los Angeles Saturday night, a sheriff's lieutenant said.

It was unclear if the heart attack occurred before or after the accident, which occurred at the Desert Inn at 11617 S. Western Ave. at about 9:15 p.m., said sheriff's Lt. Patrick Bearse of the Lennox station.

Police did not immediately release the name of the man, who was declared dead at a hospital, pending notification of his next of kin.

No injured were reported at the hotel.
