At least nine people were injured Friday evening when a Metro Orange Line transit bus collided with a vehicle in North Hollywood.
The crash was reported at 5:31 p.m. at the intersection of Coldwater Canyon and Chandler avenues.
Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department said "The bus was reportedly traveling eastbound when it crashed with a passenger vehicle."
Humphrey added, "Most of the patients injured were passengers on the bus, which witnesses reported was standing room only."
The bus driver was also injured, according to Larry Welk, reporting overhead in Sky 2.
Nine people were treated at the scene, and at least two of the victims were to be transported to hospitals, but no one suffered life-threatening injuries, Humphrey said.
The Orange Line resumed normal service after operating on a "single lane" basis at the intersection, with both eastbound and westbound buses using the one open lane, following the collision, according to Metro's Luis Inzunza.
