Claremont Woman Struck, Killed By Metrolink Train
CLAREMONT, Calif.
A 79-year-old Claremont woman was struck by an eastbound Metrolink train today and died at the scene, authorities said.
The collision occurred at 3:15 p.m. at Indian Hill Boulevard and the train tracks south of First Street, said Lt. Jon Traber of the Claremont Police Department.
The woman's name was being withheld pending family notification.
The collision occurred just a hundred yards or so from the Claremont station. Passengers were taken off the train and put on another.
