Looking for the perfect place to celebrate Cinco de Mayo? Christina McLarty has two spots to share that won't break the bank.
The first is
Malo Cantina Suavecita in Silverlake. On Mondays, dine on just a few dimes -- the spot serves dollar tacos all night. Tequila specials and fresh margaritas are also on the menu. Their famous taco is ground beef a pickle in a fried corn tortilla. It is amazing, greasy beef, crisp taco shell, and vinegar make create a true culinary experience.
In Redondo Beach,
Ortega 120 serves – you guessed it – 120 types of tequila. Tequila shots range from $5 to $59. Ortega 120 serves incredibly gourmet fare that is ingredient driven and fresh. The prices reflect upscale cuisine but the restaurant hosts happy hours with discounted food and drinks. This is the place to be on Cinco de Mayo. Ortega 120 has a huge celebration planned!
