Only about 2,600 customers were still without power on Tuesday in Los Angeles after a windstorm.
Around 10,000 people were left in the dark Monday night after fierce, gusty winds knocked down power poles, utility lines and transformers.
Most had their electricity restored by morning, but Carol Tucker of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power said about 2,600 are still waiting for service.
The remaining outages were reportedly scattered and mainly in the San Fernando Valley.
A high wind watch continued for some areas until Tuesday evening, with winds of 35 miles per hour. Some mountain peaks expected to see gusts up to 60 miles per hour.
