Teen Pleads Guilty To Sexual Battery Valley Park
CHATSWORTH, Calif. (AP) ―
Prosecutors say a teenage boy has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor sexual battery charge involving a 15-year-old girl who was found unconscious last month in a San Fernando Valley park.
The 16-year-old boy is scheduled for a hearing in juvenile court on August 15, district attorney spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons says.
Another boy, age 15, is awaiting trial on felony rape and sodomy charges connected to the attack. He is due back in court on July 8, Gibbons said.
Police say the victim had been drinking with friends and was found passed out in the men's bathroom at a park in the Chatsworth area last month.
Authorities say two other girls were found passed out at the park but were not assaulted.
