10 Kids In Protective Custody After Drug Bust

Ten children were placed in protective custody after four adults were arrested in a drug bust.

Ten children were in protective custody Friday after four adults were arrested in Castaic on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine and other offenses, according to the sheriff's department.
The arrests were made Thursday at homes in the 27500 block of Violin Canyon Road and the 31400 block of Arrow Point Drive.
Rafael Arciniega, 46, of Castaic, and James Sterns, 49, of Frazier Park in Kern County, were booked on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine for sale and jailed on $30,000 bail.
Midalia Hernandez, 19, of Castaic, was booked on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine, and held on $10,000 bail, while Manuel Arciniega, 35, was booked on suspicion of possessing a fraudulent document and held on $20,000 bail.
Deputies recovered three guns, cash, and several ounces of what appeared to be methamphetamine.
Ten children, ages 6 months to 17 years old, were placed in protective custody.
