Jurors have sent three notes to the judge as they deliberate in the public corruption case of former Orange County Sheriff Michael Carona.
U.S. District Court Judge Andrew Guilford granted a request Friday for a complete list of exhibits. He also granted a request for a list of overt criminal acts alleged after Oct. 25, 2002.
The third note was to inform the judge that the jury instructions were missing a page.
Carona, once head of the nation's fifth-largest sheriff's department, has pleaded not guilty to one count of conspiracy, three counts of mail fraud and two counts of witness tampering.
The conspiracy count includes 64 overt criminal acts, but jurors must only consider those within a five-year statute of limitations.
The case went to the jury Thursday afternoon.
