At Least 2 Injured When Car Plows Into Post Office

BURBANK A car Monday crashed into a post office in Burbank, leaving at least two people injured, according to the Burbank Police Department and Derek Bell, who was over the scene in Sky 9.

The incident occurred about noon when an elderly driver crashed into the building near Hollywood Way and Empire Avenue, according to George Martinez, Burbank's assistant fire marshal.

Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene and a postal employee, as well as a customer, were taken to a hospital for treatment, Martinez said.
