CHP Motorcycle Cop Injured In 405 Freeway Crash

NORTH HILLS, Calif. (CBS) ―

A California Highway Patrol motorcycle officer suffered non-life threatening injuries during a collision with a motorist on the San Diego (405) Freeway in North Hills Saturday, authorities said.

The crash on the northbound 405 north of Nordhoff Street in North Hills was reported to the CHP at 9:11 a.m., CHP Officer John Seumanutafa said.

The crash, according to Los Angeles city fire spokesperson d'Lisa Davies, involved the CHP officer and a motorist. The CHP officer was the only person taken to any area hospital.

The CHP officer was not suffering from any life-threatening injuries, Seumanutafa said.
