A spokesman for Burt Reynolds says the actor has paid all outstanding California taxes and should have his name removed from a list of the biggest tax scofflaws.
The Franchise Tax Board reported this week that Reynolds owes $225,000, making him among California's 250 biggest tax debtors.
Reynolds' spokesman, Jeffrey Lane, told The Associated Press on Friday that the 73-year-old actor fully repaid his debt in the 1990s.
Tax board spokeswoman Brenda Vote would not discuss Reynolds' case, but said debtors received several notices that they would appear on the 2009 list.
Reynolds is among several celebrities listed. Comedian Sinbad Adkins owes $2.5 million and singer Dionne Warwick owes $2.2 million.
Warwick's spokeswoman says she is working to repay her debt. A Sinbad spokeswoman had no comment.
