Firefighters Thursday were on scene of a house fire in Burbank that caused an estimated $450,000 in damage.
The fire broke out at 4 a.m. near Broadway and Amherst in the San Fernando Valley.
Fire crews were able to gain a handle on the blaze, which fully engulfed the two-story structure, and quickly stopped it from spreading to neighboring homes. They doused the flames in about one hour, Burbank Fire Capt. Ron Bell said.
The home was vacant and housed no family possessions or furniture.
No one was injured in the blaze.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
