Dr. Phil: Britney Released From Hospital

Spears Loses Custody Of Kids To Federline, Visitation Rights Suspended

LOS ANGELES (AP) ― Dr. Phil says Britney Spears is out of the hospital. The TV psychologist tells "Entertainment Tonight" and "The Insider" that Spears was released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Saturday morning. He says the pop star was packing when he entered her hospital room and they visited for about an hour before he walked her to her car.

The hospital says it can't confirm that Spears was released. On Thursday night, Spears was strapped to a gurney and removed from her Hollywood Hills home, then taken in a police motorcade to the hospital.

Police were called to the home because Spears had refused to release her two sons to ex-husband Kevin Federline following a visit. There had been speculation that Spears was hospitalized for a psychiatric evaluation but her representatives and the hospital never confirmed that.

Meanwhile, her bizarre behavior has cost her visitation rights. A Los Angeles court commissioner on Friday suspended those rights and gave sole physical and legal custody of the boys to Federline.
