Crash Victim's Family Wants Brandy's Phone Records

LOS ANGELES (AP) ― Relatives of a woman who was killed in a car crash involving singer Brandy want to see the R&B star's cell phone records from the day of the crash.

According to court records obtained by CelebTV.com, the singer, Brandy Norwood, has failed to provide a consent form which is needed to obtain the records.

In the motion, the family of Awatef Aboudihaj claims Brandy "was driving with an unsafe speed and was inattentive, likely because she was using her cell phone at the time of the incident."

The CHP says the entertainer was driving her Range Rover on December 30, 2006, on Interstate 405 when cars ahead of her slowed. She failed to slow and hit the back of Aboudihaj's Honda at about 65 miles per hour.

Brandy was not charged with a crime.
