A large building in Boyle Heights went up in flames Wednesday.
Flames and thick smoke greeted crews arriving at 2285 E. Jessie St., a block south of Whittier Boulevard in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles Fire spokeswoman d'Lisa Davies said.
One of the building's three arch truss roofs collapsed, but no injuries were reported, she said.
The fire was reported at 5:48 p.m. Ninety firefighters knocked down the firefighter in 48 minutes, Davies said.
