Boy, 5, Killed In Drunken Solo-Vehicle Crash
PALMDALE
Authorities on Sunday released the name of the 5-year-old boy who was killed when his father -- allegedly while driving drunk -- crashed into a pole in Palmdale.
Mario Campos, 5, of Los Angeles died when his father, Mario Campos, 25, drove the vehicle into a pole, causing it to overturn.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to a call of an overturned vehicle at 90th Street and Avenue N about 6:15 p.m. Saturday, said CHP Officer Francisco Villalobos.
Campos, 24-year-old Daisy Moreno and 1-year-old Victoria Campos were taken to a hospital to be treated for minor to moderate injuries, he said.
