Fire At Boeing Facility Prompts Evacuations

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (CBS) ― A two-alarm fire Wednesday at the Boeing offices in Huntington Beach forced the evacuation of about 200 employees, but no one was hurt.

The blaze, which was isolated to the heating and air conditioning system on the first floor of the three-story office building on the 5300 block of Bolsa Avenue, broke out at 10:20 a.m., Huntington Beach Deputy Fire Marshal Jeff Lopez said.

Firefighters from Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, the Orange County Fire Authority, Boeing and Anaheim extinguished the blaze by 11:30 a.m.

The specific cause of the fire was under investigation, Lopez said.
