LAUSD Officer, Truck Collide In Bell

BELL, Calif. A Los Angeles School Police motorcycle officer was hospitalized after colliding with a pickup truck in Bell Tuesday night, authorities said.

The accident happened on Gage Avenue near Maywood Avenue at about 9:30 p.m. when the officer's motorcycle appeared to have struck the rear of the truck.

The officer was treated at the scene before being taken to a hospital, a Los Angeles County fire dispatcher said.

The officer's injuries were non-life threatening.
