Man Wanted In Fatal 2005 O.C. Bar Fight Nabbed
SANTA ANA (AP) ―
Prosecutors say a fugitive charged with murder stemming from a fight at an Orange County bar has been ordered held without bail.
Cuong Viet Nguyen, 27, was arrested in Arizona last week and charged this week with felony murder and attempted murder.
A district attorney spokeswoman says Nguyen and his friends got into a fight at a bar in Stanton in June 2005.
Nguyen is accused of waiting outside then beating and shooting a man when he came out.
Nguyen fled the scene.
After his case was profiled on "America's Most Wanted," he was arrested while he walked his dog near his home in Maricopa, Arizona June 12.
He could get 50-years-to-life in prison if convicted.
