A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 in Arleta Tuesday left one person dead and three others with lesser injuries, authorities said.
The collision on the southbound side of the freeway was reported about 8:40 a.m. near the juncture with the Hollywood (170) Freeway, California Highway Patrol Officer Francisco Villalobos said.
A motorist in a white pick-up truck, driving northbound, flipped his car over the center divider and was hit by at least three vehicles driving southbound.
Witnesses said the man was rushed to a hospital but he was clearly in bad shape, reports Randy Paige, KCAL 9 and CBS 2 reporter at the scene of the accident.
