Man Found Dead After Driving Off Highway

ALTADENA A man was found dead Wednesday in a vehicle that went over the side of Angeles Forest Highway in the Angeles National Forest about six miles north of Altadena, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The accident was reported about 7 a.m. at mile marker 5.62, said CHP Officer Anthony Martin. It was unclear when the accident occurred, Martin said.

The man, in his mid-40s, was pronounced dead at the scene, Martin said.

The circumstances of the accident were under investigation. The man was the sole occupant of the vehicle, according to the county fire department.
