Widow Of Author Aldous Huxley Dies At 96

LOS ANGELES (AP) ― Laura Huxley, the widow of "Brave New World" author Aldous Huxley, has died in Los Angeles. She was 96. Huxley died from cancer Thursday at her home in the Hollywood Hills. She was married to the author for seven years, until his death in 1963.

Afterwards, she helped preserve and champion his works and also continued the couple's studies in the human potential movement.

She created a foundation to teach youngsters how to be good people and also wrote several books herself, including a self-help best-seller and a memoir.
