Freeway Fatalities Reported In Acton, Paramount

  Two separate accidents -- one in Acton, the other in Paramount -- claimed the lives of two motorists, according to officials.

In the Paramount crash, one person was killed when the driver veered off the 105 Freeway early Saturday.

The single-car crash occured on the eastbound side just east of Paramount Boulevard, according to CHP Officer Patrick Kimball.

The victim's name was withheld pending notification of family.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Meanwhile, in Acton, a female driver was killed on the 14 Freeway.

That crash occured about 10:10 p.m. Friday after the vehicle hit the center divider and rolled over.

The unidentified driver was declared dead at the scene, according to CHP Officer Francisco Villalobos.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
