Caught On Tape: Robber Wheels ATM Out On Dolly

PLACENTIA A robber took painstaking care while stealing an ATM from a Placentia convenience store by using a dolly to wheel it out.

The crime occurred about 4 a.m. in the 1800 block of Orangethorpe Avenue, Placentia police Sgt. Kelly Kennehan said. No weapon was displayed, and no injuries were reported.

The robber, who was wearing a motorcycle helmet, wheeled the equipment out of the store on a dolly after ordering the clerk to stay behind the counter, police said.

He then wheeled the ATM out of the business on a dolly, loaded it into a truck and drove off, Kennehan said.
