O.C. Students Must Retake AP Exams

MISSION VIEJO (AP) ― National school testing administrators say 10 major security breaches occurred during college entrance exams at a Mission Viejo high school.

Trabuco High School officials allegedly ignored a cell phone ban, hired inattentive proctors, seated students out of view of those proctors and allowed unsupervised restroom breaks during the May Advanced Placement exams.

New Jersey-based Educational Testing Service released a five-page report late Monday detailing why 385 exams were scrapped earlier this month.

Students can retake the test Aug. 11 through 15.

The Saddleback Valley Unified school board says it will pursue disciplinary action against the Trabuco High test administrators responsible for the security breaches.
