LOS ANGELES (CBS) ― The first nine customers at the 99 Cents Only Store in Westchester will be able to buy an Apple iPhone for just 99 cents to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the store's opening – the first in the chain.

People were already lining up Wednesday outside the store. The iPhone normally retails for $500.

For those not fortunate enough to get the discounted iPhone, the next 99 customers can purchase a self-powered scooter for 99 cents, while the following 99 customers can purchase a large glass vase for 99 cents. An official year 2000 millennium collector's edition 36-pin set will be sold to the next 999 customers for 99 cents.

"There have been lots of phone calls about the iPhone, the scooters, and the whole store is excited because ... there will be a lot of people in our store," said Silvia Chavez, a manager at the store.
