Authorities are questioning a man in connection with the murders of a woman and three girls found Tuesday morning at the scene of a house fire in Lancaster.
Tuesday afternoon, police confirmed that the four dead, believed to be a woman and her three daughters, were all murdered. Cory King, 18, was named as a "person of interest" and turned himself in for questioning.
The victims were discovered when firefighters put out the fire, which was reported about 7 a.m. in the 1500 block of East Avenue J-3, Los Angeles County fire Inspector Ron Haralson said.
Firefighters doused the flames in the one-story, single-family home in about 20 minutes, Haralson said.
The causes of death and the cause of the fire were under investigation.
The victims' ages and names were not immediately released.
